Underbelly Private Sessions:
This practice has the same structure as Underbelly weekly sessions but is personalized for smaller groups and dyads.
1-1 Somatic Sessions:
With this approach, the body becomes a door to our deepest unmet needs, often stemming from childhood and other trauma. By establishing safety and meeting tension exactly as it is on physical, emotional, and energetic levels, we begin to hear, acknowledge, and develop intimacy with our wounded places. We practice expanding our capacity to lovingly stay with ourselves (and younger selves) without forcing, fixing, or running away. We allow ourselves to re-unite with feelings that were not safe to feel long ago. This trauma informed somatic work puts us in touch with how we protect ourselves, what we do/have done to survive, and slowly re-wires the nervous system for a more sustainable and authentic existence. Engaging with this work is not a quick pop of a pill. It is about developing self-mastery over the course of a lifetime, learning what it means to show up as loving parents to our inner kids. This work centers and supports the wisdom of the body and is led by its intelligent vital force. It incorporates elements of Reiki, Hakomi, intuitive/somatic sensing, therapeutic touch, parts work, and is held with radical, loving, and maternal presence.
Slow Yoga:
Taught through emotional care, intuitive insight, and a somatic lens, this practice helps us slow down and tend to exhaustion and tension the body. There is time and space to melt into supported postures, allowing the nervous system to rest, relax, and resource itself. This practice can be done in small groups or one on one. Styles of yoga include restorative and yin.
